Welcome one and all to the new Dog Nanny Nic website. This is both exciting and scary as hell for me, but something I have been born to do.

My previous life ended last year when I left my business behind in Melbourne to start a fresh. diggiddydoggydaycare has become one of the most recognised, fastest growing, award winning businesses in the Pet Industry and definitely one who I will always adore. When I left I thought I would give myself a break and work in another industry for a little while but my passion for working with dogs is undeniably strong, so I was kidding myself when I thought I could do anything else.

The lessons I take from diggiddydoggydaycare are extensive, all in all that business remains to be one of the best things I've ever done. It seems that business owners are a breed of their own. Some people are just drawn to it, to build their own world and no matter if it tries to destroy them it in still one of the best things they ever do. And they will get back up and do it all over again.

So here we are; Kebo & I are building a new chapter for each other, relocated to the Bellarine Peninsula and living a much slower life compared to running a fast-paced growing business in Melbourne. It's been scary and wonderful.

I don't know why people don't do this earlier in life. Why wait until you're retired to get a taste of retired living? Just sometimes you need to take a break and STOP! This dramatic change has been not only therapeutic and life-changing, but from a health and wellness perspective things are just starting to turn a corner. We're getting on 8 months now and although during this time life has been greatly simplified, demands have been very limited and there have been many moments just being with my dog in nature, the stress of not knowing, self-doubt and power of the ego has caused great pain. I've learnt a great deal about myself, my resilience, my versatility, my strengths, my weaknesses, my heart and my head. One can never spend enough time learning about oneself. I never used to be comfortable just being with myself, I used to go to great lengths to avoid it. Now I am becoming my own best friend.

Starting up Dog Nanny Nic helped me feel empowered, independent, strong, happy and healthy; all far from how I was really feeling. The more and more I got to make a difference in doggy's lives the better I would feel. Now is a different situation. Now life is a great deal better. There's a lot to be said for "coming into your own". I have a lot of people to thank for me getting here. Whether it felt negative at the time, they were still playing out their part perfectly to push my into the place I am now. I am right where I need to be. With an open mind and and open heart I develop Dog Nanny Nic into something really special. Who knows what the future holds, but that right there is the most exciting thing.

We are taught when we are growing up to follow our dreams. I am still a big believer in this. I got to dabble in my dreams with diggiddydoggy, which is more than some people ever get to do. Now, however, it is time to dive right in, head first and live it out hard!

So with that very open sharing of why we are where we are and why we are here, I welcome to our new website! Dog Nanny Nic has been servicing clients for a little while, however we finally got around to building a website forum where people can come and get to know us more and we welcome you to contact us if you need any further information. Pats to the pups and I look forward to hearing from you.
